Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) (Email us your questions today!)

#1. How do I obtain licensure in North Carolina?
"NC teaching licenses are issued by the Department of Public Instruction based on the policies and procedures adopted by the State Board of Education. Qualifying candidates without teaching experience are issued initial licenses. The initial license, which is valid for three years, allows the teacher to begin practicing the profession on an independent basis. At the end of the three-year period, the teacher is either granted or denied a continuing license." (Information from: NC Teach)

#2. How can I get a teaching job in North Carolina?
